Why add-on pricing gets expensive
Tools that advertise a low base price often charge separately for backups, uptime, security and reports, per site, per month. The gap widens with every site you add.
Take a tool with a low headline rate, then add backups, uptime monitoring, security scanning and client reports as separate per-site line items. Each one is small on its own. Together they routinely multiply the advertised price several times over, and the multiplier applies to every site you add, so the gap widens exactly as your portfolio grows.
WPCentrify does not sell those four things separately. Every feature is included for every customer, which is why there is one number to forecast rather than five.
Pricing questions
Yes. Updates, safe update verification, backups, uptime and performance monitoring, security scanning, client reports, team permissions, staging, automation and the API are included for every customer. Plans will differ only on site count, team seats, and a small number of infrastructure-heavy options such as extended backup retention, regional data residency and bring-your-own storage. There is no add-on charge for core capability.
One WordPress installation. A multisite network counts as one site plus one per active subsite. Staging copies created through WPCentrify are free and never count toward your total. A site you disconnect stops counting immediately and is prorated.
Your first site costs nothing to connect and comes with the complete feature set, not a reduced version. It is intended as a genuine way to evaluate the product on something real rather than a demo. During early access, larger portfolios are also free while we onboard in waves.
No. Client portal logins never count as team seats either. Charging agencies per seat discourages exactly the delegation that makes a portfolio safe to run.
Nothing breaks. You are notified and the additional sites are added to your next invoice, prorated. There is no punitive overage rate and no service interruption.
Yes, both, from the dashboard without contacting anyone. Changes are prorated. On cancellation you keep dashboard access until the end of the billing period and can export everything, including backups, before it ends.
Yes. Registered non-profits, schools and open source projects get a substantial discount. Get in touch with some detail about the organisation.
Nothing, it is included. We import your sites, client groupings, tags, schedules and report settings from your existing tool, and you keep that tool running in parallel until you are satisfied.
